Romans 11:25 (Amp)

25 Lest you be self-opinionated (wise in your own conceits), I do not want you to miss this hidden truth and mystery, brethren: a hardening (insensibility) has [temporarily] befallen a part of Israel [to last] until the ^[a]full number of the ingathering of the Gentiles has come in,

 

This particular scripture text is particularly interesting to me. Yesterday as I pondered this passage, I began to ask the Lord about it. A blindness or hardness has temporarily befallen a part of Israel until the full number of the ingathering of the Gentiles has come in.

 

From Easton’s 1897 Bible Dictionary we read the Following:

Gentiles:

(Heb., usually in plural, goyim), meaning in general all nations except the Jews. In course of time, as the Jews began more and more to pride themselves on their peculiar privileges, it acquired unpleasant associations, and was used as a term of contempt.

In the New Testament the Greek word Hellenes, meaning literally Greek (as in Acts 16:1, 3; 18:17; Rom. 1:14), generally denotes any non-Jewish nation.

Since Gentiles by definition are “ALL” peoples of all other nations in the world besides the Jewish people, what could our greatest response be to this passage? If the Jewish people according to the Word of God has a hardening, insensibility or temporary blindness upon them until the full number of the Gentiles come into relationship with Jesus Christ, what is our greatest response to this passage?

This answer may bring a tilt to some of our theology out there today, but if their blindness is the result of the nations not yet being saved or ingathered to the full number, then it sounds like our focus as New Testament Believers in Jesus should be one of winning the nations to the Lord like crazy.   It sounds like we are in dire need of world-wide harvest so that the full number of Gentiles is ingathered. It sounds to me like there must be an incredible harvest of the nations (Gentiles) so that the hardness, blindness, etc can be removed and all of Israel will be saved.

If this is the case…what kind of focus must we have? What is the greatest thing that we can do for Israel right now? The answer is easy. It’s time for a great harvest of the nations. It’s time for a great harvest of the Gentiles. When the full number has finally come into salvation…then look out!!! It will be life from the dead!

As it is written:
Romans 11:26 (Amplified Bible)

26 And so all Israel will be saved. As it is written, The Deliverer will come from Zion, He will banish ungodliness from Jacob.

It sounds to me that what needs to happen in order for all of Israel to be saved is that we now turn our hearts and our focus to the nations of the world…every nation…every tribe…every tongue. I find it interesting as well that America, the United States, is known as a great melting pot of the nations. 

Could it be that God is sending the nations to our very door-step, our very back yard in droves so that we will begin to touch the nations? Maybe not everyone can go,…but look…God is bringing them right to our door!! And you know…every immigrant has ties back to their home nations. Don’t you think God is trying to tell us something? Maybe God is saying…”If you won’t go…I’ll just have to send them to you!” Sounds like something my Lord just might do to get our attention. Selah on that one.

It’s time for Gentile harvest all over the planet! Seems kind of interesting…that in order to win Israel, we must first win the world to Jesus Christ…at least the full number of the ingathering so that blinders are removed from Israel. Seems just like God to want the WHOLE world to be saved and not one nation only.

16 For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (^[a]unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life.

Selah. Calmly pause and think about that! 

Do not be distracted. Place your attentions and affections upon the Lord Jesus Christ and His desire. His desire is for the nations. It’s time. Harvest time is here.

Remember the scripture passage that says:
Matthew 24:14
And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.

Did you know that right now this very second, every nation of the earth has the Gospel being preached to it? Did you know that right now this very second, over 60 satellites broadcast TBN (Trinity Broadcasting Network) to every nation on the planet? Did you know there are over 117 Christian Television stations that broadcast in various nations around the earth right now? God TV for example is in over 200 million homes around the world. Spirit-Word Channel Broadcasts in nearly 300 million homes around the world, not to mention Daystar, 3Angel Broadcasting and so many more. 

This Gospel of the Kingdom is being preached through-out the earth right this very moment. What do you think that means? The Lord’s return is nearer than you think. What kind of response should we have? This is not to mention countless missionaries, ministries, crusades, churches and preachers all over the world. It is harvest time! We must get busy. There really is no time to waste. We must put away foolish things and be about our Father’s business.   ~~~by Donna Kelly
