Our Heart For Worship at Passion and Fire is of the Heart of David and His Tabernacle!    May it be so in our city!!

"And with this, the predictions of the prophets agree, as it is written, After this I will come back and rebuild the house of David, which has fallen; I will rebuild its very ruins, and I will set it up again, so that the rest of men may seek the Lord, and all the Gentiles upon whom My name has been invoked, says the Lord, Who has been making these things known from the beginning of the world.  Acts 15:16-18 AMP

"David made for himself houses in the City of David and he prepared a place for the ark of God and pitched a tent for it."  I Chronicles 15:1

We are called to prepare a place for the Presence of our Lord to dwell.  We are His temple in the earth and are called to be a place of habitation for the Lord.  David prepared a physical tent of habitation for the Ark of the Covenant, and we as His Body are called to be that habitation, and corporately become the Temple of the Living God.  We are living stones that are builded together to become a Holy Temple in the Lord according to Ephesians.  We are called to be a House of Prayer to the Nations as the Church of Jesus Christ.  We are called to be a people of true worship.  In His Presence is fullness of joy and life everlasting!!  Worship is the atmosphere that makes a home for Him!!  Worship is the place that enthrones Him and causes Him to want to come and sit down in the midst of us!

"He appointed Levites to minister before the Ark of the Lord and to celebrate, by calling to mind, thanking and praising the Lord, the God of Israel.  Asaph was the chief, next to him Zechariah, Jeiel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Mattithiah, Eliab and Benaiah, Obed-Edom and Jeiel, who were to play harps and lyres; Asaph was to sound the cymbals; Benaiah and Jahaziel the priests were to blow trumpets before the Ark of the Covenant of God."  I Chronicles 16:4-6

There was great celebration at the Tent of God!! There was worship put into place at David's Tabernacle which was continuous, twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week!  There was a continuous offering of worship that arose before the Lord's Presence.  We are in an hour, when the Lord is restoring the tent of David that has fallen down.  The Body of Christ is called to be a house of prayer and a people of worship.  All ministry flows from the Throne of His Presence as we spend time with the Father in worship and intercession.  Assignments are given, revelations are revealed, vision is released, and God reveals His secrets to His friends in the midst of worship and prayer.  It was said of the Apostles that it was evident that they had been with Jesus, for they were doing what He did.  It could not be denied, because as we give our lives in worship to Him, the Glory of His Presence is manifested in our lives and becomes evident to those that we encounter.  As Jesus spent the whole night in prayer with His Father, power came forth from Him and mighty miracles took place and all were healed!  That's what happens when we give our lives to the Lord in devotion, worship and prayer!  It is the rhythm of the Kingdom!  As we spend time with Him, assignments are given that touch others.  As we are transformed in His Presence, so others lives are impacted.

"O give thanks to the Lord, Call on His name; make known His doings among the peoples!  Sing to Him, sing praises to Him; meditate on and talk of all His wondrous works and devoutly praise them!  Glory in His holy name; let the hearts of those rejoice who seek the Lord!  Seek the Lord and His strength; yearn for and seek His face and to be in His Presence continually!"     I Chronicles 16:8-11

We have witnessed so many individual lives that have been transformed because they have spent time before the Lord worshipping Him.  You might say, "Well I don't have to have music to be a worshipper of the Lord."  In part that may be true, but when we give ourselves in extravagant worship to the Lord, something happens to us that cannot happen in any other atmosphere.  Chains of religion and the fear of man are broken off of God's people.  Liberty of heart is directly tied to our worship of the Lord.

Worship becomes our Alabaster Box broken before His Throne of Grace and poured upon His head.  The joy of the Lord is released through worship.  Heavy burdens are broken.  The perspective of Heaven is released into our lives and circumstances, because we receive the sudden revelation of His greatness and power.

We have witnessed healing of physical and emotional wounds as individuals worship the Lord in extravagant love toward Him.  Nothing is more exciting than a worshipping army of God who has received healing in their lives and who can now impart healing to others.  The gifts are released in the atmosphere of anointed worship.  No one who truly enters into worship before our God can remain the same.

You will be changed in His Presence!!  The scripture above is a sampling of a vibrant heart of love and thanksgiving to the Lord for who He is.  It is is revealed as we become that Alabaster Box poured out in extravagant love to our Lord.  No wonder, David was called, "A Man After God's Own Heart!"

"So David left Asaph and his brethren before the Ark of the Covenant of the Lord to minister before the Ark continually, as each day's work required." I Chronicles 16:37

We are called of the Lord to minister to Him daily and as the above reference suggests, it was a continuous offering unto the Lord!  They ministered to the Ark continuously.  Asaph was one of David's Chief Musicians and oversaw the continuous worship that was offered before the Ark.  The Ark of the Covenant is the type of the Ark of God's Presence that dwells in our lives through Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.  We are His Temple and the Church is called to be a House of Worship.  That is what David's Tabernacle was all about.  David had the understanding that he could boldly approach the Throne of Grace and come right into the Holy of Holies before the Lord.  David had a revelation of Jesus Christ who would rent the veil so that we could come right into the Presence of the Lord.  The veil has been torn for 2000 years, but the Church keeps trying to sew it back up; when Jesus has made a clear path for us to come right into the Father's Presence.  We can enter into His Joy, His Presence, His Fullness, and most of all His Love.  Do you know that when you minister to Him, His love is poured out upon YOU?  He delights in His children and wants every chain broken so that in liberty and in peace, all may come boldly before Him.  He love His church and He loves to be with us.  The Father delights in nothing better than for His children to come and "play" with Him.  He will leave heaven and the angels when He hears His children on the earth worshipping Him in whatever simple thing we offer Him.  He loves our celebration and dance and the many instruments that we play before Him.  And most of all, these things are the patterns of that which He prescribed all through the Word of God.

So, at Passion and Fire, we invite you to WORSHIP your Lord with us and pour out your Alabaster Box in His Presence.  Come Worship Him and YOU will be changed into another person!!  You will NEVER be the same as you give your entire being to HIM in extravagant worship!!  Nothing less will do...  Taste and see that the Lord is good!!!!
